The Deputy Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, Stephanie Khoury, assured the leaders and coordinators of Libyan political parties and blocs of the mission’s commitment to involving all stakeholders in the political process.

Khoury explained in her tweet on the “X” platform that leaders of political parties and blocs exchanged their views on advancing the political process, stressing the need for a comprehensive approach that includes all parties.

Khoury added that the political leaders and coordinators stressed the importance of the Libyan authorities playing their role in meeting the economic and social needs of the Libyan people, preserving Libya’s unity and respecting its sovereignty.

Khoury said that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya is committed to engaging all Libyan parties, stressing the crucial role of political parties in holding the authorities accountable for respecting the principles of good governance, meeting the development needs of citizens, and respecting human rights.
