The UN Special Envoy for Sudan, Ramadan Lamamra, said he is scheduled to visit Moscow for new consultations on the situation in Sudan and discuss opportunities for peace.

Lamamra added through his official account on the “X” platform, that he “held consultations with senior officials in some Arab countries in the Gulf region. and interact with the participants of the African Union summit in Addis Ababa.”

These developments come as clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces intensify in a number of areas, especially around the Corps of Engineers and old neighborhoods in the city of Omdurman, west of the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

Army warplanes also bombed a number of areas in the eastern Darfur city of El Daein, killing and wounding dozens amid extensive destruction in markets and residential neighborhoods.
