The Moroccan capital Rabat witnessed on Monday the signing of joint action agreements between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Belgium.
The signing took place during the third session of the Joint Higher Committee between the two countries, which was chaired by Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and his Belgian counterpart, Alexander De Croo.
The agreements included two memorandums of understanding and a roadmap for joint action aimed at developing the judicial administration and renewable energy sectors, and a detailed roadmap for activities and interactions within the framework of the political dialogue.
The agreements included plans to enhance cooperation in the fields of sustainable energy, security, migration, and human rights, while defining future visions for cooperation between the two countries.
Moroccan Justice Minister Abdellatif Wehbe and his Belgian counterpart, Paul van Tiegselt, signed a document to modernize and strengthen the judicial administration in both countries through the exchange of information and technical support for judicial system reform projects.
The Moroccan Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, signed the memorandum of understanding on green energy and cooperation in the field of green hydrogen and ammonia.
Observers believe that the Belgian handling of the Moroccan Sahara file is in line with the fundamental condition set by Morocco, which facilitated the development of the nature of the relationship between the two countries.
