The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the parties involved in the Middle East to exercise restraint, citing Moscow’s warnings that failure to resolve crises in the region, particularly the war in Gaza, would inflame the situation.

“We express our deep concern about any further dangerous escalation in the region and have repeatedly warned that the failure to resolve crises in the Middle East, especially the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, will lead to increased tension,” the Russian Foreign Ministry statement said.

“Given the position of Western members, the UN Security Council has not been able to respond appropriately to the attack on the Iranian consulate, and we express our grave concern about any further dangerous escalation in the region,” the ministry added.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on all parties concerned to exercise restraint, expressing “hope that the countries of the region will solve the outstanding problems by political and diplomatic means and with the contribution of international players, who have constructive positions.”

At the end of its statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of following up on the directives and recommendations issued by it to Russian citizens in the region, especially in Israel and neighboring countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, through official means of communication.
