The Libyan national team was able to top the groups of the North African Volleyball Championship, after achieving a victory over its Tunisian counterpart in two consecutive games, scoring 25-12 and 25-15.

The Libyan national team strengthened its position in the lead with six points, achieving the full score from two matches, including its first victory over Algeria in two straight sets, 25-13 and 25-18.

In a related context, the Algerian team succeeded in achieving victory over Morocco with scores of 25-19 and 25-20 in the second match of the tournament.

The Tunisian national team and its Algerian counterpart are in second place with three points each, while the Moroccan national team is at the bottom of the standings without any points.

The tournament will conclude its competitions today, Sunday, with two important matches, the first between Libya and Morocco, and the second between Tunisia and Algeria, in the sports hall in Misrata.

It is noteworthy that the North African Senior Volleyball Championship is a sports competition that brings together veteran volleyball players from North African countries. The tournament is held annually and organized by the African Volleyball Confederation, and dates back to 1980. Tunisia won the championship 17 times, topping all teams, followed by Egypt with 3. times, and Algeria and Libya twice.
