British Defence Secretary Grant Shayce announced on Saturday that a British naval ship had shot down a drone targeting commercial ships in the Red Sea.
Shayce said on platform X that the HMS Diamond shot down the suspected attack plane using a C Viper missile, stressing that the attack was targeting commercial ships in the area.
The Ansar Allah group announced on November 14 that it would “take practical measures to deal appropriately with any Israeli ship in the Red Sea,” stressing that “operations against Israel will not stop until its aggression on Gaza stops.”
It should be noted that the Ansar Allah group, known as the Houthis, participates in the resistance axis that includes Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and the Palestinian resistance factions, and the Houthi leader announced last October the group’s readiness to support the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Israeli army.
