Sudan Doctors’ Syndicate said in a statement that the bloody clashes between Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces led to the killing of at least 10 civilians and the injury of 16 others in the city of Babanusa in the Sudanese state of West Kordofan.
Doctors’ Syndicate pointed out that the ongoing intense clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces for the fourth consecutive day have created tragic conditions in the Sudanese city of Babanusa.
All health facilities in the city are out of service amid significant difficulties faced by medical personnel due to continuous aerial and ground bombardment.
With the escalation of the battles, the continued loss of civilian lives, and the halt of essential services, thousands of residents were forced to leave the city.
The Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces share control over the Kordofan region, which has a population of over 8 million people and is considered the main center for animal and petroleum wealth in Sudan.
