Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II affirmed their complete rejection of all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause or displace Palestinians, according to a statement by the Egyptian presidency.

The Egyptian president and the king of Jordan stressed during a meeting on Wednesday (December 27th) the importance of not expanding the circle of conflict in a way that causes destabilization of regional and international security and stability, the Egyptian presidency statement added.

The statement pointed out that the Egyptian president and the King of Jordan stressed that the only solution that the international community must push towards its implementation is an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of aid.

Jordan’s royal court said earlier that King Abdullah II had traveled to Egypt to meet President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to discuss developments in the Gaza Strip. The Jordanian court added that the meeting between Sisi and King Abdullah would discuss ways to cease fire in Gaza.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Tuesday (December 26th) in Cairo with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi as part of ongoing coordination and consultation to intensify efforts to stop the war on Gaza.
