Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu revealed on Tuesday the number of NATO forces stationed on the Russian border.
The minister pointed out that the number of these forces is about 33,000 personnel, along with 300 tanks and more than 800 other armored vehicles, in addition to the alliance’s efforts to intensify its activity in the Arctic region.
The minister stressed that the actions of Western countries push Russia to take appropriate deterrence measures, as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces decided in 2022 to divide the western military region into the Leningrad and Moscow military regions, and the order was implemented in March of the same year.
Shoigu said the Russian armed forces will increase the intensity of attacks on Western logistics centers and weapons storage bases in Ukraine and will continue the tasks assigned to them until the objectives of the special operation are fully achieved.
