Armed groups supported by armored vehicles, troop carriers, and anti-aircraft weapons have gathered on the coastal road in Janzour, east of the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
The coastal road has been closed by these armed forces, with several other armed groups on high alert in different parts of Tripoli.
The reason for the heightened alert is the refusal of a force called “Fursan Janzour” to allow Najm Qanidi to return to the city of Janzour, west of Tripoli.
It is worth noting that Qanidi is the founder of the “Fursan Janzour Force” and was expelled in 2019 for his support of “Operation Dignity” led by the Libyan army.
