The Russian Embassy in Eritrea announced on Thursday the arrival of a ship loaded with 25,000 tons of “free” Russian grain to the Eritrean port of Massawa.

Moscow has already sent 25,000 tonnes of free Russian grain to Somalia and arrived at the port of Mogadishu on Nov. 30.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in July that Russia is ready to provide 25,000 to 50,000 tonnes of grain free to six African countries: Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, the Central African Republic, and Eritrea.
