Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the volume of ammunition production in the country has increased 14-fold over the past two years.

Putin noted that the production of drones increased by four times, and the production of armored vehicles increased by 3.5 times.

These statements came during a meeting held by Putin in Korolyov, on the outskirts of the capital, Moscow, with directors of enterprises of the military-industrial complex, according to a statement issued by the Kremlin.

At the meeting, which was hosted by the headquarters of the Karparatsia Tactical Missile Weapons Company, Putin confirmed that most defense industry companies meet government defense requests on time and with high quality, praising some companies that anticipate deadlines.

Putin added that his visit will include inspecting a number of defense industry production facilities, including a center for assembling and conducting ground tests.

Putin discussed with those gathered the progress made in delivering the most sought-after weapons. “Today we will discuss a range of issues related to the prospects for the development of the Russian military-industrial complex, including how supplies of the most sought-after weapons and equipment will advance,” he said at the opening of the meeting.

Putin explained that the country’s Council of Ministers has been formed, noting that work in this area is now fully built. Putin stressed the importance of meeting and taking all notes to ensure the effectiveness of the work.

Putin stressed that Russia must always be one step ahead of the enemy to ensure victory.

He said: “I would like to stress that we must be one step ahead of the enemy at all times, then victory will be guaranteed.”

Putin noted that the structure of the defense industry had been systematically built over the previous years, stressing that this work began before the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, and not after it.
