The number of tourists visiting Morocco during the first two months of 2024 increased to more than 2.1 million, a growth of 14% compared to the same period last year.
Morocco’s Ministry of Tourism said in its report on the number of tourist arrivals that “efforts to promote Morocco’s destination and improve air connectivity continue to bear fruit.”
Foreign tourists now account for 53% of arrivals, while Moroccans living abroad make up 47% of that number, the ministry said.
Earlier this year, Morocco announced that tourism revenues exceeded $10.5 billion in 2023, for the first time in the country’s history.
According to the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, the number of tourists who visited the country reached 14.5 million in 2023, representing a growth of 12% compared to the previous year (2022).
