On Saturday, the French capital Paris witnessed a mass demonstration in support of Palestine that included thousands of protesters who called for an end to the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and slogans demanding an “end to the war” on Gaza and an “end to the genocide” that the residents of the Gaza Strip have been subjected to by the Israeli army for three months.

Last October, after the Israeli army began its military operations in the Gaza Strip, the French authorities banned demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people throughout the country, and this did not prevent marches in Paris and other cities to denounce Israeli attacks on Gaza.

The French Council of State later decided to reverse the government’s decision to ban pro-Palestine demonstrations.

According to the latest official data, the death toll of the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip has risen to 22,722 dead and 58,166 wounded since October 7.
