shared General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, met in Benghazi with the United Nations envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily.
The two sides discussed political developments and the need to create appropriate conditions for holding simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections.
Bathily praised the distinguished position of the LNA General Command and its main role in maintaining security and stability.
Haftar stressed the role of the UN mission and the importance of making more balanced efforts to push the political process forward and support the UN mission’s efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people.
