The vice president of the Egyptian Workers Union, Magdy El-Badawi, revealed the details of Libya’s plan to bring two million workers from Egypt during 2024, to rebuild the country.
Al-Badawi said, during a telephone intervention on the program “Sabah Al-Balad”, that this idea is not new, as about two years ago there was political stability in Libya and the thinking about it was how to rebuild it.
El-Badawi stressed that Libya knows that the Egyptian labor has become very efficient in the issue of reconstruction of countries through its experience in building the new republic, and therefore the Libyan leadership at that time thought that it was necessary to use Egyptian labor because they are the most experienced and trained in this field.
El-Badawi pointed out that coordination was made between Egyptian and Libyan officials previously, and an electronic link was made between the two countries, so that Egyptian workers are sent through governments and not individuals, adding that officials agreed in advance that Egyptian companies would have a role in organizing and sending labor to Libya.
El-Badawy explained that the aim of the electronic link is for the Egyptian authorities to have knowledge of all the data of Egyptian workers in Libya, adding that a life insurance policy will be provided for each worker in addition to health insurance.
