Tunisia revealed that Libya is the first Arab importer and the fifth in the world for Tunisian products, as its exports to Libya represent about 40% of the country’s total exports.
The Tunisian Export Promotion Center said that industrial products constitute about 40% of the total exports to Libya, the most important of which are cement products and its derivatives with a value of 228.8 million Tunisian dinars.
Tunisia also exports to Libya iron wire rods (63.8 million dinars), electrical transformers (52.9 million Tunisian dinars), as well as sanitary materials, paint, and tiles.
In a related context, the Tunisian Export Promotion Center announced the participation of 10 institutions specialized in the design of buildings, prefabricated rooms, and construction equipment in the 15th edition of the Libya Construction Fair.
The participating Tunisian institutions are active in various fields such as the design of prefabricated buildings, the distribution of building accessories, the manufacture of sandwich panels and more, with the aim of introducing their products and exploring opportunities to build new Tunisian-Libyan partnerships, the center said in a statement.
It is noteworthy that the Libya Construction Exhibition recorded the participation of more than 265 local and foreign companies from several countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Italy, Malta, Austria, and China.
