French bakers from Surin have regained the world record for the longest loaf of French bread by preparing a 140.53-metre loaf.
The longest loaf of French bread was previously registered in Italy and was prepared in Como in June 2019 and was 132.62 meters long.
The event, organized by the French Union of Bakers and Pastry Chefs, saw the start of work on the preparation of the loaf from three in the morning, where a special oven designed for this purpose was used.
The Guinness World Records jury approved the loaf as the longest loaf of bread in the world.
At the end of the event, part of the loaf was distributed to the audience present, and the remaining part was donated to the homeless, adding a human dimension to this digital achievement.
It is noteworthy that the Guinness Book of Records is a reference book issued annually, containing well-known world records, and is the best-selling ever in the world, and the first version of the encyclopedia was issued in 1955 by Guinness.
