The Public Prosecution in Egypt ordered the detention of a Ukrainian woman after she was accused of beating and insulting an Egyptian employee, and destroying her car parked under the property.
The Fifth Settlement Investigation Department received a report stating that the incident had occurred, which began after the Ukrainian woman’s car collided with the Egyptian woman’s car on a street in the area.
Investigations revealed the veracity of the report, as it was found that the Ukrainian woman had assaulted, insulted, and slandered the Egyptian woman, and both the accused and the victim were taken to the Fifth Settlement Police Department for investigations.
Media reports indicated that the Ukrainian woman was driving her boyfriend’s car under the influence of alcohol, and collided with a parked car, which led to the entire front part of the car being destroyed and sparked a state of anger among residents.
The Egyptian victim and her sister revealed in a video on Facebook that the Ukrainian woman came to Egypt 6 months ago without obtaining legal residency.
They explained that the police took the accused into custody and took the authors to the department for investigation, while summoning eyewitnesses to explain the circumstances of the incident.
