Gamal Allam, president of the Egyptian Football Association, announced that the sample of Pyramids star Ramadan Sobhy showed a positive result in a doping test.

Allam said the federation had received a notification from the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) that it would take another test sample from the player before making a final decision.

A source inside the Pyramids Club said that the sample was withdrawn last August, and the sample has become corrupt, and Ramadan Sobhi is ready to withdraw a new sample from it and has no problem.

Sobhi, 27, began his career with Al Ahly’s first team in 2014, and had a trial in England with Stoke City and Huddersfield, returning to Al Ahly on loan, before moving to Pyramids in a huge deal.

Sobhy’s performance declined with Pyramids, where he has been playing since 2020, and did not appear in the Egyptian national team, and last participated with the “Pharaohs” team in the 2021 African Cup of Nations.
