The Egyptian Automobile and Touring Club announced the possibility of the return of the Pharaohs Rally to Egypt, as it is scheduled to be organized in August 2024 in the city of New Alamein.
This return comes after a 9-year hiatus since the last time the famous rally was organized.
This announcement came within the framework of the Egyptian Automobile and Touring Club hosting the meetings of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), in the presence of the President of the International Federation, Mohamed Bin Sulayem, and these meetings coincided with the Egyptian Automobile Club’s celebration of its centenary.
In his speech, Bin Sulayem stressed the importance of reducing the costs of motorsport to make it more widespread and popular among people in the Arab region.
The return of the Pharaohs Rally is considered a golden opportunity to enhance sports tourism in Egypt, and an opportunity to revive this major sporting event that motorsport fans are eagerly awaiting.
