The Egyptian Ministry of Finance said that the Ras El Hekma City Development Project confirms Egypt’s ability to attract foreign direct investments thanks to concrete efforts in creating a favorable environment for business and providing preferential benefits.
The Ministry stated that the budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025 paves the way for a strong start for the Egyptian economy during the next stage, so that it relies more on agricultural and industrial production and advanced technology and extends to the rest of the sectors and other economic activities.
This was aimed at meeting many basic needs through self-sufficiency and enhancing the local component in the industry, thus reducing the import bill, expanding the export base, and accessing more competitive markets such as the communications and information technology sectors, in a way that is reflected in transforming Egypt into a regional and global center for production and export.
She added in the financial statement for the fiscal year 2024/2025 that the features of Egypt’s financial and economic policies in the new fiscal year establish a stimulating climate for growth, development and production, enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy, and highlight its potential in a way that extends its prospects in a more positive and stable manner, thus gaining sustained confidence from international institutions.
The Ministry indicated that the human development sectors, with its two axes (health and education), will witness a planned increase in their allocations starting from the fiscal year 2024/2025 to complete the process of building the Egyptian human being.
The government is committed to continuing efforts to establish a distinguished educational system that develops the talents of creativity and innovation, while accelerating the pace of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system in the rest of the governorates, as it is a major tool for reforming the health sector and social protection, reducing poverty rates, and achieving the Egyptians’ dream of comprehensive and integrated health care for all members of the Egyptian family, side by side.
