The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, announced the country’s intention to increase the volume of tourist traffic, with the aim of reaching the number of visitors to 30 million tourists by 2028.
This came during an interview with Spanish media in Madrid, where he revealed a strategy focused on increasing the number of airline seats flying to Egypt, improving the tourism investment climate, and enhancing the tourism experience.
Issa explained that Egypt is an important investment opportunity in the field of tourism, as it encourages local and international investors, including Spanish companies, to invest in the hotel sector. He also stressed the efforts of the Egyptian state in improving the tourism infrastructure, which contributes to facilitating the movement of tourists between the different tourist areas in the country.
In a related context, Issa stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Spain, pointing to the importance of the current forum in increasing cooperation between Spanish and Egyptian companies, thus enhancing tourism between the two countries.
