A package of large projects in Derna was signed by the Libyan Derna Reconstruction Fund, with the Emirati company “GLOBAL CONTRACTING.”
Derna Reconstruction Fund posted on its Facebook page that these projects include infrastructure works, renovation, establishment of sewage treatment plants, construction of two desalination plants, construction of obstruction dams in the valley and creation of an integrated canal from the valley to the sea.
The Fund stated that the company is implementing the wave barrier project so as to preserves the coastal front of the Libyan city of Derna. Additionally, the company will undertake several projects west of the administrative borders of the city.
Libya leads the African continent in the Information and Communication Technology Development Index for 2024.
