Two Israeli airstrikes targeted the towns of al-Sawaneh and Adshit in southern Lebanon, killing four people and wounding 11 others.
Israeli fighter jets carried out a series of raids on several areas in southern Lebanon, while Israeli artillery shelled the vicinity of several towns on the border.
The Israeli army confirmed that it had targeted the points from which Hezbollah fired rockets targeting the Northern Command, the Meron air base, and a military base in Safed.
Israeli media reported that the number of rockets reached 8, noting that this attack is the most dangerous of its kind since the beginning of the conflict on the northern front.
Israeli Army Radio noted that Hezbollah used precision missiles in its attack on Safed, explaining that the Iron Dome system failed to intercept the latter.
Israel also launched an additional raid on the Jabal al-Rayhan area. According to the Lebanese Civil Defence, a woman and her two children were killed in the airstrike on the town of Sawaneh, while another Lebanese was killed, and nine others were wounded in another attack on the town of Adchit.
