Sources reported that the Israeli ship “MSC SKY II” continued to catch fire, as a result of being hit by missiles fired by Houthi forces in the Arabian Sea.

The sources confirmed that multinational ships, including Indian, have been trying for more than 11 hours to extinguish the fire in the container ship, stressing the failure of efforts to extinguish the fire, and that arrangements are being made to evacuate its crew after the expansion of fire in the ship.

For his part, Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said in a statement on the “X” platform: “In victory for the oppression of the Palestinian people and as part of the response to the US-British aggression on our country, the naval forces of the Yemeni armed forces, with the help of God Almighty, carried out an operation targeting an Israeli ship (MSC SKY II) in the Arabian Sea with a number of appropriate naval missiles, and the hit was accurate and direct, thanks to God.”

“The targeting operation came just hours after a qualitative operation was carried out, during which the missile force and the drone air force fired a number of ballistic missiles and drones at a number of hostile US warships in the Red Sea,” Saree said.

Saree continued: “The Yemeni armed forces affirm that they will continue to prevent Israeli navigation or heading to the ports of occupied Palestine until the aggression is stopped and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted, and that it will not hesitate, with the help of God Almighty, to carry out more military operations in the Red and Arab Sea against all hostile targets in defense of dear Yemen and to emphasize support for the oppressed Palestinian people.”
