The Minister of Defense of the Central African Republic, Ramo Claude Birou, announced that his country plans to sign agreements with Russia in the areas of supply of military products and military education within the framework of the Army 2024 Forum.

Claude Birou said: “I came here (the Army 2024 Forum) to sign an agreement with the Russian government in the areas of supply of military products, military education, and other areas.”

He pointed out that Russian technological developments are a priority and that research in the military field is ahead of research in the civilian field.

The “Army-2024” Forum opened its doors today at the “Patriot” Conference and Exhibition Center, where it will be held from August 12 to 14, 2024. As usual, during the military forum, models of various military equipment and weapons will be displayed.

The forum will showcase new and modern weapons and equipment in the fields of aviation, drones, naval, space, artillery and protection.

Equipment seized from foreign armies will also be displayed at the forum. These include American-made Abrams tanks and German-made Leopard tanks, in addition to “Bradley” armored vehicles.

The International Military-Technical Forum “Army 2024” is a showcase event organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense to showcase innovative ideas and achievements in the field of defense industries.

Russia is the first destination for most African countries shaking off the dust of decades of European and American colonialism.
