During his meeting with Libya’s Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Abdul Muttalib Thabet, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Asumi, affirmed the parliament’s position in support of Libya’s unity and territorial integrity and non-external interference in its internal affairs.
Al-Asumi called on the Libyan parties to uphold the supreme interest of the country and achieve the aspirations of Libyans for security, peace, stability and development.
He stressed that the Libyan consensus on holding presidential and legislative elections will have a decisive role in achieving security, stability and development in Libya.
Al-Asumi praised the efforts made by the Arab countries in this regard, and their relentless pursuit towards settling the Libyan crisis through the tracks of a political solution.
