The US Central Command announced that a US Navy destroyer, the USS Carney, shot down 14 attack drones in the Red Sea.

According to the official statement issued by the US command on its official website “X”, the targeting took place in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, December 16.

The statement pointed out that these offensive marches were launched from areas under the control of the “Ansar Allah” group in Yemen.

Despite the successful attack, U.S. Central Command reported no damage to ships in that area.

It is worth noting that the Yemeni group “Ansar Allah” had previously announced the targeting of the city of Eilat in southern Israel using several drones.
