Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya, Jibril Ibrahim Abdullahi, held a meeting in his office with his Algerian counterpart Mahi Boumediene.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation between Somalia and Algeria in various fields.

In this context, the Somali ambassador asked his Algerian counterpart to support Somalia by voting for it in the upcoming elections to choose members of the UN Security Council.

Somalia is vying for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council and has asked for the support of several countries during the election process.
