The bilateral meetings of the Egyptian trade mission to Kenya, which will be held from March 3 to 6, began to discuss enhancing trade between the two countries.
The events are organized by the Egyptian Export Council for Chemical Industries and Fertilizers, the Egyptian Export Council for Building Materials, Refractories and Metal Industries, in cooperation with the United States Agency for Community Development (Mashrou’ Trade) and the Commercial International Bank of Kenya (CIB).
Thirty Egyptian companies are participating in the mission, including 20 members from the Export Council for Chemical Industries and Fertilizers and 10 members from the Export Council for Building Materials.
The Egyptian delegation arrived in Kenya on Monday and began its mission to visit the markets to learn about the nature of products and goods, determine the ability to price their products, and see the competing products in the Kenyan market, for the sectors participating in the mission from both councils, namely plastics, rubber, pipes, insulation and lining materials, detergents, specialized chemicals, iron oxides, materials used in paving roads, building materials, finishes and ceramics.
The head of the Egyptian Export Council for Chemical Industries, Khaled Abu Al-Makarem, confirmed that work was done on the preparations of the mission three months ago in coordination with the various authorities, whether official and diplomatic bodies, as well as the advisory bodies based on coordinating bilateral meetings with foreign buyers, as well as preparing the study and marketing research and measuring the import capacity of the target countries of each product.
