Several Moroccan cities, such as Casablanca, Agadir, and Tangier, witnessed women’s demonstrations on Sunday to demand the protection of Palestinian women in the Gaza Strip from Israeli aggression.
The Moroccan Commission for the Support of the Nation’s Causes called for these vigils and demonstrations with the aim of emphasizing solidarity with Palestinian women, who are suffering from deteriorating living conditions and the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
Participants in the vigils chanted slogans against the Israeli occupation and its crimes in Gaza and raised banners expressing solidarity with Palestinian women and rejection of normalization with the Israeli occupation.
Since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on the seventh of last October, many Moroccan cities have witnessed solidarity stands with the Palestinian people on a daily basis in order to demand an end to the bloody war and the breaking of the suffocating siege on the besieged strip.
The people of the Gaza Strip are suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, in light of the continued aggression and heavy indiscriminate shelling, amid the displacement of more than 1.8 million people internally to insufficiently equipped camps and shelters.
The death toll of the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to more than 31,000 martyrs, more than 72,000 wounded, in addition to thousands missing under the rubble, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
