Egyptian singer Wegz opened the “Benghazi Summer” festival in Libya with a distinctive look, as he wore an Upper Egyptian Jellabiya and was decorated with the Palestinian flag, at a ceremony held yesterday, Thursday.
Ronaldinho, the former Brazilian football star, attended as a guest of honor alongside Wegz, who is famous for his rap songs and his musical style that mixes elements of traditional rap and Egyptian folk music.
Other artists participating in the festival include Samara, Moh Milano, Mansour Anaoun, and Al-Kahla, on the opening night of the events that combine artistic and sports performances.
“Benghazi Summer”, which continues until August 15, features a rich program of entertainment, cultural and artistic activities, and includes an e-sports championship. The festival witnesses the participation of a number of Arab artists in its various segments.
The concerts during the festival reflect the diversity of musical tastes, with the participation of artists from Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon, including the Lebanese artist Wael Jassar.
