The United States announced a reward of ten million dollars for financial information on the Palestinian Hamas movement.
The US State Department said in a statement that the matter concerns five wanted persons, namely Abdul Basit Hamza Al-Hassan Muhammad Khair, Amer Kamal Sharif Al-Shawa, Ahmed Sadu Jahlab, Walid Muhammad Mustafa Jadallah, and Muhammad Ahmed Abdul Dayem Nasrallah, who were previously classified by the United States as global terrorists.
The ministry said the first financier, known as Hamza, resides in Sudan, manages several companies in Hamas’ investment portfolio and was involved in transferring about $20 million to the group.
The ministry said he had links to former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and militant groups undermining stability in Sudan.
Three Hamas financiers, Amer Kamal Sharif Shawa, Ahmad Sadu Jahleb and Walid Muhammad Mustafa Jadallah, are part of Hamas’ investment network in Turkey, the ministry said.
The ministry said the fifth wanted man, Nasrallah, had close ties to Iranian entities and was involved in transferring tens of millions of dollars to Hamas.
