The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) lifted sanctions on Tunisia and recognized the Tunisian agency’s compliance with the international standards.

The Tunisian Ministry of Sports announced in a statement that the World Anti-Doping Agency decided to lift the sanctions on Tunisia with immediate effect, after ensuring that the National Anti-Doping Agency complies with international standards.

The crisis of withholding the Tunisian flag, which arose against the backdrop of Tunisia’s non-compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code, ended with the four-month deadline for adopting a certain number of amendments to legislative and regulatory texts.
