The head of the Syndicate of Acting Professions in Egypt, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, explained regarding the presence of the Egyptian actor Michael Iskander in the starring role in the Israeli series “The House of David,” that Iskander is not subject to the supervision of the Syndicate and does not belong to it.

According to what was published by the Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth”, Iskander will appear in the role of the Prophet David in this series, which also includes prominent Israeli Arab actors such as Ali Suleiman and Ashraf Barhoum. The series, which will soon be shown on a major American digital platform, also witnesses the participation of Yali Topol Margalit in the role of Merav, one of Shaul’s daughters.

Michael Iskander was born in Egypt and left it when he was approximately 9 years old with his family, where he traveled to the United States of America. He is now 22 years old and is good at playing the guitar and piano, writing songs, and acting on stage.

The House of David series will include a large number of male and female artists, including: actor Stephen Lang, who will play the role of the Prophet Samuel, and British bodybuilder actor Martin Ford, who will play the role of “Goliath.” The cast also includes Yali Topol Margalit (“the tattoo artist from Auschwitz”), She is the granddaughter of the late actor Haim Topol, who will play the role of Mareve, and the British actress Indi Lewis, who will play the role of Michelle, both of whom are Saul’s daughters.
