The Ministry of Education and Technical Education in Egypt made amendments to the results of the 2024 General Secondary Certificate Examination, which led to major changes in the ranking of the top students nationwide.
The amendments came after an error was discovered in the physics answer models, which necessitated adding two additional grades for science students.
This addition caused changes in the top positions, as two students who were in second and third place advanced to higher positions, which led to the student who was in first place in the science sciences division dropping to third place.
