The “Hindustan Times” announced the withdrawal of Kiev troops of American “Abrams” tanks from fighting in Ukraine.
The decision stems from fears that tanks could be attacked by Russian drones, which proved effective in destroying five tanks in just two months out of 31 donated by the United States to Ukraine.
The ‘Associated Press’ has quoted Pentagon sources confirming Ukraine’s withdrawal of US tanks to protect it from Russian drones, and in confirmation of this announcement, Ukrainian parliamentarian Maxim Pozansky confirmed the move.
The move comes after the Ukrainian military and its backers were relying heavily on Abrams tanks in their battles against Russian forces in Ukraine.
With promises that these tanks will tip the tide of battle, overreliance on military technology seems to have put Ukrainian forces in a delicate position, with the Russian military viewing any use of these tanks as a challenge that deserves an immediate and violent response.
It is noteworthy that the Russian army pledged to burn these tanks as soon as they appear on the battlefields, like other tanks and weapons of the Atlantic, which proved their owners greatly exaggerated in their power and effectiveness.
Russian media circulated videos showing Russian army forces towing an” Abrams” tank left by Kiev militants during their escape during battles in Ukraine, and the media reported that it would be displayed at the Western Equipment Fair during Victory Day.
