The Tunisian city of Sfax witnessed an unfortunate incident in which a security man died following a serious injury that led to his death in the hospital, according to Sfax Health Director Hatem Al-Sherif.
Al-Sherif told Tunisian National Radio that they also received the body of another person, a sub-Saharan African, and the two bodies were transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department at Habib Bourguiba University Hospital to determine the causes of death.
Hisham Ben Ayyad, spokesman for the Court of First Instance in Sfax, explained that during a security raid on one of the buildings in the city that housed a group of Africans from sub-Saharan countries, a security officer fell from the top of the building while pursuing some African individuals, noting that the African person was from South Africa. Desert also died after falling from the roof of the building.
Ben Ayyad indicated that the judicial authorities have opened an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of these tragic incidents.
