Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar called on the non-aligned countries to exert international pressure to stop the aggression on Gaza and end the 75-year-old “Palestinian tragedy”.

In a speech at the nineteenth summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Angola, he said: “We stress the need for the summit to push for intensifying international pressure for an immediate end to the tragedy of the Palestinian people, who have been suffering under occupation and colonialism for more than 75 years, and to all forms of aggression against the Gaza Strip and all the land of Palestine, resulting in thousands of martyrs and injuries, which amounts to these heinous crimes amounting to genocide under international law. The continuation of the situation as it is in this sensitive region threatens security and stability in the world, while ending the aggression will be a direct contribution to the revitalization of the global economy.
