The head of the Independent High Authority for Elections, Farouk Bouaskar, announced the preliminary results of the elections for the National Council of Regions and Regions.
During a press conference, the head of the Commission pointed out that the election of representatives of the regional council of Sousse will take place on Friday, and the second chamber of parliament includes 77 elected members of the regional councils and regional councils.
Three members are elected from each regional assembly in the country to win a seat in the National Assembly, and one deputy is elected to represent each of the five regions in the National Assembly.
According to the Constitution, projects relating to the State budget and regional, regional, and national development plans must be submitted to the National Council of Regions and Regions.
This aims to ensure a balance between regions and regions, and the Council of Regions and Regions exercises oversight and accountability powers in various matters related to the implementation of the budget and development plans.
The head of the Independent High Authority for Elections is likely to announce the final results of the elections for the second chamber of parliament at the beginning of next April.
It is expected that the Council will be convened by the President of the Republic 15 days after the announcement of the final results.
