German star Toni Kroos officially announced his retirement from football, following his recent participation in the European Nations Championship “Euro 2024”.
Kroos’s announcement came after the German national team was eliminated from the quarter-finals, following their loss to Spain in an exciting match that ended with a fatal goal from Mikel Merino in extra time.
Tony posted on his Instagram account a touching farewell message, in which he expressed his gratitude for every moment he spent on the field.

During his sports career, Kroos was part of the golden generation of German football that won the World Cup in 2014. Kroos also won several prominent titles with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, including six European Champions League championships and three German League championships, strengthening his position as one of the most prominent… Midfielders of his era.
Kroos’s professional career began at Bayern Munich, and he began playing in 2007 when he was seventeen. Kroos moved to Bayer Leverkusen for an 18-month loan period, and there he was able to establish himself as a main player.
He then returned to Bayern Munich in 2010, becoming a key element in the team, contributing decisively to achieving several victories. Kroos moved to Spanish Real Madrid in 2014, for 25 million euros, thus opening a new chapter in his football career.
