There were conflicting reports about the Bahraini capital, Manama, hosting a meeting between the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, member of the Sovereignty Council, Shams al-Din Kabashi, with the brother of the commander of the Rapid Support Forces and his deputy, Abdul Rahim Hamdan Dagalo.

People close to Kabbashi, citing sources in his office, published a denial of what was circulated about the meeting in Bahrain.

There was no official denial from Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council or the Rapid Support Information Service.

Sources had revealed that three unannounced meetings between Kabashi and Dagalo were held in Bahrain under the auspices of the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
