The delegation of the first football team of Zamalek Club headed to Morocco on Thursday, in preparation for the final of the African Confederation.
Zamalek is preparing to face the renaissance of Berkane in the first leg of the CAF final, scheduled for Sunday, May 12, at the Municipal Stadium of Berkane.
Jose Gomez, the team’s coach, asked the board of directors of Zamalek to travel to Morocco on Thursday, May 9, three days before the meeting, to prevent stress, and so that the players get enough rest time to get used to the atmosphere and stadiums in Morocco.
The board of directors of Zamalek club, headed by Hussein Labib, decided to approve the travel of the delegation of the first football team of the White Castle to Morocco by private plane to face the Moroccan team Nahdet Berkane, scheduled for May 12, in the first leg of the final of the African Confederation Championship.
The decision of the board of directors of Zamalek to travel the white team to Morocco on a private plane, in order to save time and effort on the players of the White Castle ahead of the important and anticipated confrontation against the Moroccan champions in the first leg of the African final.
A delegation from Zamalek Club, consisting of Abdel Wahed El-Sayed, director of football in the first football team of Zamalek Club, Saad Abdeen, the administrative of the White, and Sherif Saber, the team’s chef, left Cairo last Tuesday heading to Morocco to check on all arrangements for the establishment of the mission, training grounds and the team’s bus in Morocco.
The trip of the Zamalek delegation is scheduled to take about 13 hours, including 5 hours of flight from Egypt to Morocco, in addition to 8 hours by car until reaching the city of Berkane.
