The World Bank said the flood disaster in Libya affected about 1.5 million people, equivalent to 22 percent of the population.
The World Bank issued a report on the occasion of the passage of about 6 months since Storm Daniel, which hit eastern Libya last September.
The report added that the recovery and reconstruction needs in the wake of the catastrophic floods caused by the storm are estimated at $1.8 billion, and that the housing sector was the most affected, with an estimated more than 18.5 thousand housing units destroyed or damaged, equivalent to 7% of the total housing units in Libya.
