The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affirmed his country’s readiness to support any dialogue aimed at ending the transitional phases, through the holding of elections in Libya.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed met with the head of Libya’s interim government of national unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, at Al Manar Palace in Abu Dhabi, according to the “Our Government” Facebook page.

The meeting discussed the file of economic cooperation between the two countries, standing on the latest political developments in the region, as well as the situation in Libya’s neighboring countries, and unifying efforts between the two countries for calm and stability.

Libya’s Government of National Unity said Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed affirmed the UAE’s support for it and its readiness to support any dialogue aimed at ending the transitional phases through elections.
