Sudanese forces of 48 parties and movements signed a charter in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Wednesday to manage a transitional constituent period.
The charter is “a vision for political and civil forces to manage the transitional foundational period”, and this comes more than a year after the war ravaging the country.
The signatory powers stressed the importance of their main objective, which is to end the war and lay the foundations for a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace.
The charter was signed by the head of the political bureau of the Democratic Alliance for Social Justice in Sudan, Mubarak Ardol.
According to those in charge of this step, this step aims to rebuild and reform the state apparatus in a way that reflects its independence and nationalism, while ensuring the security and stability necessary for the transition to democratic civilian rule.
