The Sudanese army announced the capture of 7 foreign fighters during the battles at the radio and television building in Omdurman a few days ago, including 4 from South Sudan and 3 from Chad.
Local media quoted a source in the Military Intelligence Service as saying that “among the captured fighters are fighters from South Sudan trained in heavy and medium artillery and Chadian minors.”
The RSF had taken control of the state media headquarters since the conflict began last April, but on 12 March, the SAF succeeded in retaking the facilities and removing the RSF from the area.
Reports indicate that the captured fighters were part of a group of 51 fighters from South Sudan and 27 fighters from Chad.
