The Sudanese ambassador to Moscow, Mohammed Al-Ghazali Al-Tijani, stressed that Russia will play a key role in the reconstruction of Sudan, pointing to the importance of preparing Russian companies to contribute to the country’s renaissance.
Tijani’s remarks came during his participation in the “Russia-Islamic World” forum currently being held in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan.
In an interview with Russia Today, Tijani explained that Russia is a friendly country to Sudan and that there is good cooperation between the two countries.
Tijani added: “We seek for Russia to have an important role in the reconstruction of Sudan, and our task now is to prepare Russian companies and businessmen to contribute effectively to the renaissance and progress of Sudan and its reconstruction after the end of the war.”
The ambassador pointed out that Sudan participates in the forum on an annual basis, pointing out that a delegation from the Ministry of Minerals, headed by the Undersecretary and Director General of the Sudanese Company for Mineral Resources, is participating in this year’s edition of the forum.
Kazan will host the activities of the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World” from May 14 to 19.
The forum aims to enhance cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world, serving as a platform for coordinating economic, scientific, technological, cultural, and informational agendas through various structures of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
