Russian Health Minister, Mikhail Murashko, announced on Sunday that preliminary results of pre-clinical studies of a cancer vaccine may be ready at the end of this year.

According to his statements during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, pre-clinical studies are currently being conducted on the vaccine, with expectations of obtaining initial results by the end of the year and starting clinical trials after that.

Murashko explained that the vaccine was developed in cooperation between several scientific teams, including the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology “Gamalia”, the Moscow Research Institute of Oncology “Gertsin”, and the National Center for Medical Research on Oncology “Blokhin”.

A few days ago, academic Alexander Ginsburg announced the success of the Russian vaccine against all types of cancer in tests on laboratory mice.

Tests after 15 days showed a significant reduction in the size of tumors among the vaccinated mice compared to the unvaccinated mice that died between days 19 and 22, while the vaccinated mice are still alive to date.
